Abstract
This research aims to examine the impact of subtitutes for leadership factors on employee job satisfaction at PT. Angkasa Pura 1 in Makassar, South Sulawesi. This research adopted instruments of subtitutes for leadership factors from Kerr and Jermier (1978) used by Jernigan and Beggs (2010) in research on some companies in the United States, while the instrument of job satisfaction is adopted from the theory Locke (1976) used by Rehman and Waheed (2011) in research on public organizations in Pakistan. The collection of data in this research done by disseminating questionnaire to 150 respondents who are permanent employees of PT. Angkasa Pura 1. Data collection done by the method of purposive sampling. Multiple Linear regression analysis is used as the main tool in the data analysis. The results showed that the subtitutes for leadership factors simultaneously positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Partially of the three independent variables used in this research only the characteristics of subordinates and the characteristics of the organization that influence positively and significantly while the characteristics of the task do not affect significantly to job satisfaction.
