Abstract

The title of this research is : “The Role of The International Organization for Migration in handling The Illegal Migrant from Middle East in Indonesia”. The flowing of illegal migrants who came from Middle East to Indonesia are difficult to stop , eventhough their goal is Australia. They are seeking asylum or finding a better place for improving their living standard. The have rights to be protected and be treated as human being. IOM as an International Organization for Migration is dedicated to promote the human right and protecting the interest of the people who made migraton including the Illegal Migrant. Reffering to this research is focus on the Illegal Migrant from the Middle East. The method used in this research is a normative legal research. The data were analysed with qualitative methods. The analysis of data, it can be concluded that the role of IOM in handling with Illegal Migrant form Middle East in Indonesia such as Counselling , Food, Medic, Camp, Creative Training, and Assistance in order to filling for asylum. In the implementation some barriers faced by IOM in order to succeed its goals.
