Abstract
This study aimed to identify factors that affect the performance of the company's qualifying small contractors in the province of Yogyakarta special region. The study also analyzed the relationship between the characteristics and performance of the company's qualifying small contractors. The factors for this relationship is the human resource, financial, work experience, equipment, materials, methods of work, politics, leadership, and customer satisfaction. This study adopted a research instrument characteristics and performance of the company in Jembrana district conducted at the University of Udayana and also uses the theory of the performance of the company. Data collected by distributing questionnaires. Respondents were qualified small contracting company that is in the province of Yogyakarta special region. Factors of the relationship between the characteristics and performance of the company's qualifying small contractors were analyzed using pearson product moment correlation, the results showed that the relationship between the characteristics and performance correlates positively and strongly correlated . Furthermore, the results of the analysis show that the ranking of the factors are financial factors (1th), material factors (2nd), factors working methods (3th), customer satisfaction factors(4th), leadership factors (5th), equipment factors (6th), human factors (7th), and the last is the political factor (8th).
