Abstract

Research formulating competitive strategy of PT. ABC Bank in the banking industry in 2010 - 2014, as the strategy of the future refers to a company based on the vision and mission of the company. Companies that do not bring innovation and differentiation of products will lag behind other competitors in the same business. Analysis of this study aims to analyze the Indonesian banking industry environment and analyze the business environment internally and externally. This study uses qualitative and descriptive analysis, through interviews and literature. Which is the object of research is PT Bank ABC. Research shows that the right competitive strategy for PT Bank ABC is focused differentiation. Focus on serving the needs of customers engaged in the food and agribusiness customers in three segments namely Wholesale, Commercial and SME. The use of alternative strategies found in this study is utilizing the group network ABC with the promotion, development of new products that generate fee base income, simplification of work processes as well as centralized workflow process as part of efforts to improve process control and monitoring, optimizing the role of core banking system as a means to support the bank's business growth in the future, increase employee productivity through capacity building and training programs
