Abstract

The title of Undergraduate Thesis is “The Role of Social and ;Labor Department towards Disabled Worker Right Implementation in Sleman Regency”. The problem formulation is the factor that cause 1 % of the Working Right quota which is not fulfilled for the Disabled People in Sleman Regency and the effort which is done by the Government of Sleman Regency to deal with the problem. The type of the research used in this Law Research is the empirical law research. The primary source of the data are gathered from the informants, that is from the Social Labor and Transmigration Department in Sleman Regency. The secondary data of this research involve the legislations and the experts books. The analytical method used is to process and analyze the primary data to the conclusion which is general; and then another conclusion is taken. The secondary data are the primary law material consisting the legislation, and the secondary law material is to find out the opinion similarities or differences which is helpful to obtain the law definition. The conclusion of this research is that in the practice, 1 % quota of Right working is not accomplished for the Disabled People in Sleman Regency. It is caused by the lack of publication, the lack of observation function and the development of Employment in Sleman Regency, the company calculation for the Disabled accesibility, and the low point of punishment from the Law. The advices given after this Law Research are: The company should provide accesibilty for the Disabled, The Social and Labor Department should have a good cooperation with the company and Social Institutions which can connect the Disabled to the company. The observation by The Social and Labor Department should have the implementation of giving chances for the Disabled to work. The Government must publish periodically to the companies, and moreover the Government should be proactive in controlling, not only waiting the report, so that the data obtained are updated.
