Abstract

This study aims to determine and assess the legal protection of child victims of sexual exploitation in the city of Yogyakarta, and the constraints experienced in providing legal protection against sexual exploitation of children as victims in the city of Yogyakarta. Research carried out the empirical legal research, by conducting field studies to obtain primary data and research library materials to obtain secondary data. Data analysis methods used in this study is qualitative, the data obtained from the study are presented and processed based on the quality and validity. The results of this study were: (1) the legal protection of child victims of sexual exploitation in the city of Yogyakarta have been carried out in accordance with the Child Protection Act, it is proved by the heavy punishment to the perpetrators of the crime of sexual exploitation of children. (2) the constraints faced in providing legal protection to child victims of sexual exploitation in the city of Yogyakarta is in compliance with elements of the crime. In the act of exploitation, usually the victim is also willing, as both victims and perpetrators exploit it commercially profitable. In the proof of sexual abuse, there must be an element of supporters.
