Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identifythe involvement or role of advocates in handling crime narcotics at Yogyakarta District Court. The data source as the sample is come from Yogyakarta District Court. The type of research is Normative LawResearch. The data source is this research is primary law material and secondary law material whereas the method of data collection are study of literature and interview. Based on the analysis of discussion and research results in this study, the research indicates that can be concluded that the role of the Advocate in the handling of a criminal offense in court Yogyakarta Narcotics is assisting the accused from the beginning to the end of the trial judge's decision to protect the rights of the accused in court.
