Abstract

Crimes against children are very often to occur, the protection toward the children fillst always be given for the safety of the children. One of them by imposingsanctions on perpetrators of sexual crimes who makes the children as a victim. With the enactment of Law No" 17 of 2016 which apply chemical castration penaltyconsider as the solution and also a problem for sexual offenses that occur in children.Pros and cons of the enactment of this chemical castration penalty became one of thequestions about the urgency of chemical castration penalty's existence that allegedly violate human rights asa human/being. Disagreement about the importance of law enforcement and the protection of human rights will be discllssed in this paper. The purpose of this thesis is that people understand about the existence of chemical castration penalty and bow it is applied in Indonesia and in terms of the existence of human rights in Indonesia. The type of research used in. this research is normative research which focusing on legislation and research requires secondary data as the main data. As a result, the chemical castration penalty must be made the procedure for its implementation and must be seen first w]lat the factors of the perpetrators are, so that it will be effective and appropriate in imposing sanctions against perpetrators of sexual crimes towards the children.
