Abstract

The tittle of this research is The Land Use for Settlement at The Buffer Zone of Cycloops Highlands Nature Reserves based on Spatial Plan Cities Jayapura, Papua Province. The purposes of the research are to know and to analyze how the land use for settlement at The Buffer Zone of Cycloops Highlands Nature Reserves is going and does the land use for settlement at the Buffer Zone of Cycloops Highlands Nature Reserves is corresponding to the purpose of Spatial Plan Cities Jayapura, Papua Province. The method for this research is empirical research method, with qualitative analytical method used to analyze the data. The results of the research are the land use for settlement at Buffer Zone of Cycloops Highlands Nature Reserves is done above the customary rights land which based on Overeenskomst July, 28th 1956 the land status turned to ground state. Therefor, the land use for settlement doesn’t get any permission from the local government. The land use for settlement at The Buffer Zone of Cycloops Highlands Nature Reserves is not corresponding to the purpose of Spatial Plan Cities Jayapura because it may cause the function, the integrity, and the preservation of The Buffer Zone of Cycloops Highlands Nature Reserves disturbed.
