Abstract

The title of this research “Investigation Of Narcotics Crime Actor in Region POLDA DIY (Gorilla tobacco case study handled by POLDA DIY). Goal of this research is to obtain data and analyze how the provisions of the Investigation of Narcotics Crime Actor of a new type whether it is apporiate with KUHAP rules and legislation 35 of 2009 on Narcotics and to obtain data and analyze the constraints faced by POLDA DIY in the investigation of new types of narcotics perpetrators.The research method used is normative legal research.The result of the research is the provision of investigation of the perpetrators of new narcotics criminal acts has been approriate with KUHAP and legislation 35 of 2009 on Narcotics. The constraints faced by POLDA DIY in the investigation of new types of narcotics are the result of long laboratory tests resulting in slow investigation process, lack of investigator personnel who have special education on drugs, unregulated operational costs in the legislation, and less information about new drug abuse because they do not know the characteristics of the narcotics. The suggestion of the authors is that the people of Yogyakarta are expected to assist the Police in providing information if there is any circulation of illegal drugs around them or their environment, and to realize that wearing or consuming narcotics can damage both physical and spiritual health and have strict punishment sanctions.
