Abstract

This research entitled Yogyakarta Special Police effort in Combating New Type of Narcotics. The research objective of this law is to know and understand how efforts made by the Yogyakarta Special Police in combating users of New Type of Narcotics. The efforts to combate new narcotics in DIY are still experiencing problems because this activity became a livelihood therefore when law enforcement efforts are carried out they resist it. Based on the discovery of DIY police efforts in combating New Type of Narcotics is still difficult to do because of the lack of facilities and infrastructure such as technology (IT) that supports combating of New Type of Narcotics, they still use their own vehicles to conduct raids and operational costs which are less from government of DIY against the combating of New Type of Narcotics. The efforts to combate New Type of Narcotics has been running well by making efforts such as preventive, repressive, and rehabilitation despite there are some obstacles. The author advice to the Government of DIY to provide facilities and infrastructure to support the performance of Polda DIY and provide to the Polda to keep improve their performance.
