Abstract

The implementation of Diversion, which is the main substance of the Law No. 11 of 2012 on The Juvenile Justice Court System, ought to give justice to victims as the aggrieved party from crimes committed by children, especially in Sleman district. This thesis titled Diversion from Victims‟ Perspective as The Problem Solver to The Juvenile Crime, aims to discover whether or not victims attain justice through Diversion. If victims could obtain the justice through Diversion becomes the main problem of this thesis. This thesis uses normative methods in its research which the data is from books, legal regulations, documents, literature, and the interview. It can be concluded that the result of this thesis is that victims of the juvenile crime obtain the justice through Diversion. This thesis is expected to give an implication that victims and society in Sleman district need to be given a deeper comprehension about Diversion. Therefore, they could understand more that Diversion is the best possible media for victims in order to solve the juvenile crime case since victims are the aggrieved party that are given a big opportunity to participate in completion of juvenile crime to obtain justice with a complete restore.
