Abstract

Car rental agreement is an agreement whereby the lessor car strapped himself to provide enjoyment of the goods in the form of car for the tenants during a specified time for payment of something the price paid by the tenant affordable. In practice, the car rental agreement between a car rental company with consumers in Sleman district very often there are problems, such as consumer or the tenant do defaults. The purpose of this study was to find out how to remedy the car rental company due to default by consumers in Sleman district. This research is an empirical legal research, conducting interviews directly to the parties concerned and by conducting literature study. From these results, which most of remedies taken by the car rental company due to defaults by consumers in Sleman district is to implement response actions, among others, by way of charge compensation for the damage and loss of equipment and rental car surcharge for late return of cars lease, rental and cancel lease a car pulled from consumers who violate the agreement, send team Buser and interesting field to pursue a rental car that was rushed, executing the goods or cash collateral from customers, and send a team to collect damages by doing mental suppression to consumers, the as well as implementing preventive measures, such as by way of forming community, using the GPS in rental cars, to tighten requirements car rental, ask for goods or cash collateral from customers, form a team to field Buser and billing purposes to the consumer, and insuring rental cars, and also This method is an option, because the results are effective, the process is not complicated, the cost is cheaper, and do not spend much time.
