Abstract

Water is a source of life in this world, entire of us depend very much to water. Thus it requires water of which can be used as appropriately. However, currently, the problem of water supply that fulfills any requirement becomes a problem of entire people. From quality and quantity perspective water has been decreased by reason of any pollution. It happened in Selokan Mataram of Sleman Regency. Along Selokan Mataram of Sleman Regency, there are various kinds of efforts of motorcycle washing business which tends to emerge any negative impact by shape of water pollution towards Selokan Mataram itself. This water pollution is caused by the waste of motorcycle washing thrown through any canal without any prior processing. This waste in the case of accumulated in great number can decrease the quality of water. From the emerging problem aforementioned above, it needs the existence of water pollution control concerning to the motorcycle washing service business in Selokan Mataran of Sleman Regency. Meanwhile the barriers faced in the implementation of water pollution control in Selokan Mataram either from the businessmen or the authorized institutions. The type of research used was empirical legal research of which conducted in Yogyakarta Special Region and Sleman Regency, complemented by literary study. From this research, it is known that the inexistence of cooperation amongst the authorized institutions and businessmen of motorcycle washing business actor in Selokan Mataram of Sleman Regency. It needs to review and it is necessary to conduct cooperation amongst the both parties due to the control of water pollution in Selokan Mataram of Sleman Regency.
