Abstract

Advocate is one of legal enforcer apparatus in addition of the police, attorney, and judge. The position of advocate as legal enforcer is often called as officer of the court. The task and function of advocate is give legal assistance either inside or outside the court session. In conducting his task, advocate is free and self-reliance, however in conducting his task as advocate he should obey and obedient to the Laws Number 18 of 2003 on Advocate and Ethical Code of Indonesian Advocate. However, in fact there is still founded the violations conducted by advocates, however while it will sentenced a punishment, advocate who conducted the violation can move to other advocate organizations, it instead shows the unprofessionalism of advocate. The factor causing an advocate to conduct violation and able to move from one advocate organization to other is by reason of there exist a single media of advocate organization, thus the punishment decided to the advocate becomes very ineffective. Thus, in order the punishment given by an advocate organization to an advocate who conducted violation can be conducted effectively, it is necessary to create a single media of advocate organization, in addition of the existence of single media of advocate organization can be able to resolve the problem between the advocate organization and can lessen the intensity of violation conducted by advocate, thus the profession of advocate is actually an esteemed and professional profession.
