Abstract

This study aims to find out how the implementation of the rights of prisoners to get coaching. The problem in this thesis is the implementation human of the rights of the prisoner whether it has been fulfilled or not by correctional institution. The research method used is normative research method that focuses on library research to obtain the secondary data from legal materials. The normative approach is conducted by reviewing the applicable laws and regulations and is supported through interviews with resource persons relating to the rights to receive coaching to prisoners. The results of this study make it clear that correctional institution should grant the rights of inmates one of their right to coaching, as contained by the provisions of Law number 12 of the year 1995 about correctional institution 14 paragraph (1) on the rights of inmates.
