Abstract
The title of this legal writing is "police protection for people who identify mental disorders as perpetrators". The problem formulations are "what form of protection by police for people with mental disorders as perpetrators of crime?" And "what are the obstacles faced by the police in handling criminal offenders who have a mental disorder?". The type of research is normative legal research with the presence of resource persons. The authors suggest that for the realization of protection to people who have mental disorders by the police then the public must participate so that the implementation of the protection of people who have mental disorders can be realization and prevent the people who have mental disorders committed criminal acts.
