Abstract

Watersheds need to be protected because the river is very important for people's lives especially to those who living in the Code river area. The garbage in the Code river can damage the quality of the water, also at the same time can pollute the river flow. As a result, the watersheds becomes disturbed and polluted therefore the watershed needs to be protected based on existing regulations. The purpose of this study is to determine the suitability of watershed protection in the Code river with applicable regulations and to find out whether the protection has been applied to the Code river and to know the obstacle and protection solutions of the Code river. The results of the research indicate that the regulation is not yet fit as a whole. The constraints are mainly from the lack of public awareness and the efforts of the government that have not been maximized while the main solution is to set up a task force to supervise in the field and to do community service to maintain the cleanliness of the river by the community in Code river area and government.
