Abstract

This research is aimed at examining and proving empirically whether corporate social responsibility disclosure affect firms’ market reaction. This research uses Firms’ size as the control variable. Sample in this research are mining companies that are listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange and published their annual report for the period of 2016-2017. The result of this research shows that corporate social responsibility disclosure is positively affect firms’ market reaction. This result indicates that disclosure of corporate social responsibility for companies is proven in this study could attract investors to invest their funds since these companies putting themselves in a better position in a term of sustainability compared to the other companies that does not aware on how much the importance of doing a social responsibility.
