Abstract

This writing / thesis is entitled “Efforts to Reform Industrial Permit System for Increasing Service to People in Karanganyar Regency”. The reason why the writer chooses this topic is because the writer wants to find out and to prove that there has been changes in service of industrial permit after the implementation of one stup service (that is called BPPT). The problem formulations are: (1) what are policies made by government of Karanganyar Regency in reforming system especially industrial permit system?, (2) what are obstacles faced by government of Karanganyar Regency particularly in dealing with industrial permit system?, (3) by the reformation of industrial permit system, is society, especially those who apply industrial permit system, well served?. The purposes of this research are: (1) to find out are policies made by government of Karanganyar Regency in reforming system especially the industrial permit system. (2) to find out what are obstacles faced by government of Karanganyar Regency BPPT particularly, in dealing with industrial permit system. (3) to find out satisfaction level of society, especially for those who apply industrial permit, regarding service after the reformation of industrial permit system. Methods use in this research is empirical law methodology, a research focused on attitude of society (law in action). The main data is primary data received from respondent and source from BPPT and Departement of industry. The supporting data is secondary data consist of laws (of Indonesia), books, website and dictionary of Indonesian Language (KBBI). The result of this research is that first the existence of BPPT especially in handling industrial permit system really helpful to both of society. The second is society has more job vacancies by the reform of industrial permit system. The suggestion is that both of the government (especislly BPPT) and society (for those who apply industrial permit) need to be honest and fankly in giving correct information
