Abstract

Penitentiary is a place to build the people who have make deviate deed to make it better and be accepted back in society. Fore this the authors formulated the problem of how the implementation of principle of Equality Before The Law on the Class II A Wirogunan Penitentiary Yogyakarta?, Is Implementation of the Principle the limiting factor of Equality Before The Law on the Class II A Wirogunan Penitentiary Yogyakarta?. The study result says that the Implementation of the principle of Equality Before the law in the Class II A Wirogunan Penitentiary Yogyakarta has not done well because there is a difference of treatment between prisoners are one whit the other prisoners. Inhibitor factors of Implementation of Equality Before The Law principles in the Class II A Wirogunan Yogyakarta is a lack of supervision so that the individual officers abusing their power freely. Some of the inmates without fear giving kickbacks to corrupt officials to get special treatment.
