Abstract

Lagoi Safari Park is the only zoo on the Island of Bintan. The purpose of the establishment of the Lagoi Bintan Safari Park is to preserve, protect, and breed animals that are far from their natural habitat. Lagoi Safari Park also supports animal conservation programs. The conservation program where the environment is build according to the habitat, therefore plant or animal can live and evolve naturally. The form of legal protection from the Safari Lagoi Park has gone quite well. Although there were obstacles faced by The Lagoi Park in implementing animal conservation, they tried to solve these problems by coordinating with related institutions. Animals are one of natural source, written in UUD 1945 article 33 verse 3 says “earth, water, and everything that contained in it are ruled by the country and to be used as much as possible for the people prosperity” for that protecting animals is a must. The type of this research is an empirical law research. Empirical law research uses facts that seen in real life and it will be harmonized with the norms that already exist and already run.
