Abstract

The child is the potential fate of man in the coming days. but children still fall victim to violence. especially in the sleman Regency has been formed Office of women empowerment and child protection, population control and family planning, one of its functions to prevent the occurrence of acts of violence against children. This Office was established on the basis of the regulation of the Regent of sleman number 72 year 2016. the Agency noted as many as 157 cases of violence against children in the year 2016 has occurred in sleman Regency. then the author would like to try to find out the effort and constraints faced by the Agency in preventing violence against children. the research method used was the normative research with the data source in the form of legislation and interviews with the speakers. of research results obtained conclusions form the service efforts is socialization, cooperation, provision of the safe house, and the role of the community. obstacles encountered is a lack of understanding of the role of the community and the public about the importance of organizing the protection of children.
