Abstract

The title of this thesis is “The Role of Government to Fulfill rights for Housemaid” the purpose of this thesis to find out the Role of Government in fulfilling the rights of Housemaid and to find out the barrier faced by government in fulfilling the rights of Housemaid. This Research use empirical research literature with data collection and interviews. The conclusion from this Research is The Role of government to fulfill rights for Housemaid is not working maximum yet, because There is no serious commitment from the government to protect and fulfill the rights of housemaid, There is no currently legislation that specifically regulate the housemaid as a domestic workers. The position of housemaid Don’t have a clear position in the Act Number 13 Year 2003 Concerning Manpower although the Housemaid Included in the Category of Workers based on this Act. The Suggestion from this law research is to set of serious commitment from the government to make special regulation for Domestic Workers which governs the rights of domestic workers.
