Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to find out about the Police Control and Supervision towards misuse of Airsoft Gun Type Replica Guns. The research method used is to use a type of normative legal research that serves to be able to see the law in the real sense and examine how the law works in the community. The data used in this study uses primary data derived from legislation, then secondary legal materials obtained from legal facts, doctrines, books, journals, research results, newspapers, the internet, and tertiary legal materials obtained from Indonesia dictionary. The data obtained from these laws and regulations are then analyzed to make a conclusion obtained after direct research, that the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia is a state tool that plays a role in maintaining security and public order and regulates special provisions regarding Control and Supervision of Airsoft Gun and has special section or division that supervises and also controls the issuance of permits and use of replica firearms,. Control and Supervision for users of airsoft gun weapons only has sanctions or penalties in the form of administrative penalties only. In the Republic of Indonesia National Police Regulation number 5 of 2018 there are no clear criminal sanctions for users.
