Abstract

ABSTRACT Indonesia has tended to only rely on repressive actions, in tackling corruption. Preventive action is very minimal to reduce or even eliminate corrupt practices. All forms of preventive action and understanding related to 'corruption' can be started early through basic education. This paper entitled "The Role of Basic Education Institutions in Sleman Regency in the Prevention of Corruption Crime" The author analyzes whether the Basic Education Institution in Sleman Regency has a significant role to prevent corruption in anti-corruption teaching. This paper uses empirical legal approach. The author concluded that the Basic Education Institution in Sleman Regency of Yogyakarta Special District has a significant role, it can be seen that each elementary school in Sleman Regency has the same curriculum and in accordance with the provisions of legislation apply. The curriculum aims to shape the character and personality of students in order to become noble individuals. Keywords: preventive measures, basic education, corruption.
