Abstract

This thesis is titled "Implementation of Waste Management as an Environmental Protection Effort through Activities at Piyungan Final Disposal Site (TPA). Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). If you hear the term junk, of course what comes to mind is a pile of garbage that causes a bad smell. Waste is defined as unwanted residual material after the process is complete. How to manage waste as an effort to protect the environment through activities in the Piyungan Landfill and What are the obstacles and solutions in the implementation of waste management in Piyungan Landfill. Based on the results of research that has been done, it can be concluded that waste management with good management will bring mutual benefits between the community and the surrounding environment.
