Abstract

Surat Pernyataan Pengelolaan Lingkungan (SPPL) is a letter stating the ability to manage and monitor the environment carried out by the business actor. This paper entitled "The Implementation of SPPL as an Effort to Prevent Environmental Pollution by Micro and Small Business Entities in Sleman District". This paper analyzes, first, how the SPPL is implemented as an effort to prevent environmental pollution in the district and the obstacles in implementing SPPL as an effort to prevent environmental pollution in Sleman district. This paper uses empirical legal research methods. This research concluded that the implementation of SPPL in Sleman district has run quite well but not optimally. Second, the obstacles that arise in the implementation of SPPL are the lack of human resources, the knowledge of the surrounding community about environmental pollution, and lack of understanding of business actors regarding the functions and objectives of SPPL ownership. The author suggests that good coordination is needed with other related parties in implementing SPPL. Keywords: SPPL, Environmental Pollution, Micro and Small Business Entities (UMK).
