Abstract

This thesis, entitled "Criminal Law Review of the Abuse of Psychotropic Medicines (Tora Sudiro Case Study)", discusses the control arrangements for the abuse of tranquillizers classified in Psychotropics in the case of Tora Sudiro and the obstacles in overcoming the abuse of tranquillizers classified as Psychotropics. in the case of Tora Sudiro. The purpose of this study was to determine how the control measures for tranquilizers classified as Psychotropics have been applied and to find out whether there are any obstacles in overcoming the abuse of tranquillizers classified in Psychotropics in the case of Tora Sudiro. Furthermore, the research question in this study is formulated as, How is the management of the prevention of the abuse of tranquilizers classified as Psychotropics in the Tora Sudiro case? And Are there any obstacles in overcoming the abuse of sedatives classified as Psychotropics in the case of Tora Sudiro? The writing of this thesis uses the method of writing normative law, this study focuses on legislation, in this case Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health. Law Number 5 of 1997 concerning Psychotropics. The conclusion from the writing of this thesis is that the Criminal Law Review of Sedative Drug Abuse which is classified as Psychotropic in this case Tora Sudiro is not appropriate if Tora Sudiro gets rehabilitation, and Tora Sudiro cannot prove its validity by showing a doctor's prescription, history of medical treatment related to drug use. and is known not to suffer from a high dependence syndrome to the use of the drug. The obstacle in overcoming the abuse of tranquillizers classified as Psychotropics in the Tora Sudiro case lies with the BNN Agency which issued a policy related to the issuance of an assessment letter stating that Tora Sudiro is required to undergo rehabilitation at the Drug Addiction Hospital (RSKO) Cibubur.
