Abstract

Glass noodles are a popular food in the community because of their affordable prices and good nutrition. The vermicelli noodle processing industry is usually carried out by small industries, in addition to providing the benefits of the vermicelli noodle industry, it also has a bad impact, namely the waste produced by the vermicelli noodle industry which causes pollution.. The purpose of this study was to determine the in implementation of pollution control obligations due to the activity of the vermicelli noodles industry. In this study using empirical legal research methods. The problem in this research is how to control pollution caused by the vermicelli noodle industry in Manjung Village, Klaten Regency. the findings in this study are as follows: making glass noodles produce solid and liquid limbat, solid waste from glass noodles can still be used for worm cattle but the liquid waste is not treated first before being dumped into the river. this is what causes pollution. The conclusion in this study is that pollution control has not been done well and the authors suggest that the authorities need to conduct counseling and supervision and encourage business actors to conduct WWTP to facilitate business actors.
