Abstract

This study analyzes the supervision by the Yogyakarta city environment department of business operators who are required and have SPPL documents. Business actors who are required to have SPPL are considered to have less impact on the environment. But in reality in terms of the number of business actors required to have SPPL very much in the community so that the accumulation of environmental impacts will also have a major impact on the environment. The result that can be concluded is that there are several obstacles faced resulting that the environmental department of the city of Yogyakarta has not yet carried out its obligation to supervise business operators and/or activities that already have SPPL in the city of Yogyakarta. So it is important to start monitoring immediately so that a balance between utilization, protection and management of environmental can be achieve.
