Abstract

The thesis research entitled "Juridical Consequences Provision Of Expired Date In Home Industry Food Product To Producer" aims to determine and examine the juridical consequences of business actors in granting expiration dates in household industrial food products to business actors and to find out and examine why household industrial food products are used. does not have an expiration date, it is still in circulation even though there are regulations that oblige producer. This research is a normative research with a conceptual approach and a statutory approach. The data source is in the form of secondary data consisting of primary and secondary legal materials. The data collection method uses literature study. Primary legal materials and secondary legal materials were analyzed using the legal analysis method. Deductive thinking process is used in drawing a conclusion. The concept of legal protection and the concept of legal objectives are used as the basis for analysis in assessing research results. The conclusion in this thesis is that the juridical consequences for producers by attaching expired labels on home industry food products is that the producers are responsible for losses suffered by consumers in the period before the expiration date stated. On the other hand, the producer is not responsible for any losses suffered by consumers as a result of consuming the product after it has passed the expiration date stated in the household industrial food product. Home industry food products that do not have an expiration label circulating in the community that normatively there are no rules requiring all home industry products to always attach an expiration date on the inside or outside of the package. The importance of supervision of home industry food products carried out by the health office in collaboration with the national agency of drug and food control to protect consumers.
