Abstract

The title of this research is the Police Efforts in Preventing Actions of Motor Vehicle Deprivation from Debt Collection Services. The purpose of this study is to determine the efforts of the police to protect those who have debts. This study uses normative research and primary data as primary data and secondary data as supporting data. The results of the interview were obtained by taking the results of an interview conducted by a student in Central Sulawesi. The results of this study are about the efforts of the police in preventing acts of appropriation of motor vehicles from forest collection services. However, there are still obstacles in preventing the appropriation of debt collection services, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors are caused by lack of personnel and the low number of criminal detective units, while external factors are caused by unclear status of debt collection service members and there is no clear limit on how the mechanism of debt collection services works in collecting creditors.
