Abstract

This study aims to determine and examine the role of the Environmental Agency in monitoring ethanol waste in Sukoharjo District and the obstacles faced by the relevant agency in the field and their solutions. This research uses empirical research. This study uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from respondents using interview guidelines. Secondary data consists of primary legal materials and secondary legal materials. Data analysis was performed using qualitative analysis methods, and conclusions were drawn using inductive thinking processes. The results show that the supervision of waste management by the government, in this case the Environmental Service, has not been maximally realized because there are several obstacles faced, namely the lack of facilities and infrastructure, the lack of Human Resources (HR), so that information, socialization, and guidance for entrepreneurs are not conveyed. Ethanol which causes supervision cannot be carried out optimally, as well as the lack of budget from the Government for related agencies.
