Abstract
This research is motivated by developments in technology and information that are increasingly advanced at present, especially in buying and selling transactions. Currently, many buying and selling transactions are based online. Children as a legal subject also often make buying and selling transactions online. One of the media that is often used by children in buying and selling online is Facebook. This study aims to determine the responsibility of the marketplace and the seller to children as consumers in online buying and selling transactions via Facebook. The formulation of the problem that taken is about the form of responsibility of the marketplace and the seller to children as consumers in making online buying and selling transactions via Facebook. The analytical method used in this research is juridical normative. Secondary data in this study were obtained from statutory regulations, books, journals and the internet whose material is related to research materials as well as conducting interviews at the Advocacy and Consumer Protection Institute in Medan City
