Abstract
The title of this research is "The Implementation of Employee Social Security for Workers within Certain Time Working Agreements at Stella Maris Hospital of Makassar". This research aims to determine the implementation of employee social security for workers within certain time working agreements at Stella Maris Hospital of Makassar. This type of research is an empirical legal research through which the primary data (interviews) were obtained directly from respondents and informants supported by the secondary data. Qualitative descriptive methods were used to analyze the data through inductive thinking processes. The results of research and data analysis show that Stella Maris Hospital of Makassar has not implemented an employee social security program for workers within specific time working agreements pertaining to applicable laws and regulations. Workers within certain time working agreements are entitled to the employee social security expressly regulated in Article 13 of the Ministry of Labor Decree Number Kep.150/MEN/1999 concerning the Implementation of the employee social security program for freelance, wholesale and specific time working agreements. Workers within certain time working agreements have the minimum right to obtain the employee social security in the form of work accident insurance and life insurance. Based on these provisions, Stella Maris Hospital of Makassar assumes responsibility to register workers within specific time working agreements to become employee participants of the social security administrator (BPJS) at the Makassar Branch of Labor Office. Workers within specific time working agreements are registered, and they have the right to use the social security in accordance with applicable ministerial regulations. This is a form of building justice and prosperity with regard to the mandate of the constitution and the mission of Stella Maris Hospital of Makassar.
