Abstract
The purpose of writing this thesis is to find out the responsibility of transportation companies to persons with disabilities when using public transportation in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This needs to be known because it has been regulated in Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation regarding the obligations of transportation companies. So this research is intended to get a picture of how the reality of the implementation of the Act in land public transportation facilities. In this study, empirical legal research methods are used to determine the implementation of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. The results of the study explain that the implementation of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation has not been implemented. Because the obligations of the transportation company have not been fulfilled, this is due to the lack of public transportation facilities or modes available for persons with disabilities in the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
