Abstract

Water Structural Adjustment Program was one of the programs established by World Bank. In Indonesia, as the program became effective, somehow has its own several implications, in the context of Indonesian economic sovereignty on water resources. To create this matter, the data of this research was collected by library research. The data was analyzed by normative legal research. From data analysis it could be concluded that for the consequence of Indonesia acceptance over the Water Structural Adjustment Program, Indonesia enact Act No. 7, 2004. The regulation on water resources based on this Act directed the Indonesian economic system become more liberal, so that inappropriate with Article 33 of the Indonesian Constitution. So the implementation of the Water Structural Adjustment Program in Indonesia derogated the Indonesian sovereignty over its economic resources.
