Abstract

This research entitled Study on the Maltreatment which caused deadness. The case formulation was whether the factors causing a lot of the incident of criminal case on maltreatment causes any deadness. The method of this research was conducted through literary study and interview with the method of data analysis. It was used the data analysis qualitatively and the thinking method in drawing conclusion was conducted by deductive thinking method. In discussion, it comprises of three primary concerns, i.e. the general purpose on crimes, general purpose on maltreatment especially maltreatment in article 351 - 358 Criminal Code and the factors causing the incident of maltreatment crimes which causes deadness. This research gained conclusion that the incident of maltreatment in Indonesia is affected by some factors, i.e. the advancement of communication science such as the vast number of television programs which sounds any cruelty, thus it affected on the community's thinking patterns, the factors of revenge, the factors of catty, environmental and moral/religion factors. The advices submitted are the sensor body on television should tighten in controlling any television program, the legal enforcement should be conducted proportionally and the religious construction should be conducted intensively.
