Abstract

Believers often experience discrimination due to their life status stated in the administration of the population (Adminduk). One form of Adminduk is Identity Card (KTP) and Family Card (KK) which contains some information, one of which is religion. Prior to the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) No. 97/PUU- XIV/2016, the description of the religious column for believers was not filled or left empty. The court's decision is considered to be a "fresh wind" because the believer can include the name of his/her beliefs/religion in the religion column on the KTP. Republika.co.id as an online-based journalistic media also reported various events related to the fulfillment of the rights of Adminduk dreamers of trust. This study looked at the trend of news Republika.co.id. The method of quantitative content analysis and objectivity as its theoretical basis, was used to examine 41 news articles collected during the period 8 November 2017-15 June 2019. This study used 8 units of analysis derived from the theory of objectivity, namely factual (nature of facts), accuracy, source statements, completeness, relevance (news value), type of coverage, news delivery, and knowledge in the news. The results showed that Republika.co.id news contains more sociological and psychological facts, low accuracy, high completeness, significance news value, relevant resource statements, type of one-sided coverage, positive news delivery, and primary knowledge. Conclusions that can be drawn from this research are generally less objective news and more concerned with the technical aspects of writing news. Some tendencies that cause less objective news is to prioritize completeness but do not pay attention to accuracy, and do not prioritize neutrality and balance in preaching the fulfillment of the rights of Adminduk believers.
