Abstract

This thesis is entit led “Abuse of Dominant Position by Electronic Payment Service Providers (Case Study of E Money Ovo)”. The thesis with that title aims to find out and analyze whether there are indications of abuse of the dominant position carried out by OVO money in electronic money payments. This research is a type of normative research using the Legislative approach. Methods of data collection in this paper using the interview method and literature study. The data analysis method with the Legislative approach method is carried out by collecting data, qualifying, and connecting it with theories related to the problems studied, then drawing conclusions to determine the results of the analysis. The results of the research, Law Number 5 of 1999 concerning the prohibition of monopolistic practices and unfair business competition as an effort to create a good business climate so as to be able to maintain the public interest and increase national economic efficiency as an effort to improve people's welfare. This law regulates three main things, namely prohibited agreements, prohibited activities and dominant positions. This law also regulates exceptions to business actors in conducting business activities and agreements.
