Abstract
This research was conducted to find out the role of local governments in controlling the utilization of space for tourism activities in Badung Regency. Control of space utilization is an activity related to supervision and regulation of the implementation of the plan as a follow-up to the preparation or the existence of a plan, so that the utilization of space in accordance with the spatial plan. The analytical method used in this study is normative legal research, where data is obtained from laws and regulations related to spatial arrangements, books, journals, thesis, internet, and interviews with sources. The conclusion of this study is the role of the Badung Regency Regional Government in controlling the utilization of space for tourism activities carried out based on four general provisions, namely general zoning provisions, general licensing provisions, incentive and disincentive provisions, and the imposition of sanctions.
