Abstract
The presence of an industry can have both good and bad consequences for the environment. If viewed from the existing consequences, the existence of the industry needs a role from the relevant agencies so that the industry can reduce the negative impacts that occur so that it will bring more good impacts to the community. On the other hand, there are bad consequences of the existence of industry, namely the occurrence of environmental damage and environmental pollution if an industry does not pay attention to the preservation of the environmental function itself. The red brick industry which is run on agricultural land is one of the industries that has the potential to damage the environment. This is because the red brick industry that is active in agricultural land can cause agricultural land to become infertile so that agricultural land can no longer be cultivated and planted by farmers and make agricultural land uneven as before. In accordance with existing laws and regulations, the government is one of the parties that must control environmental damage. The existence of environmental damage control efforts is a way that can be done so that agricultural land does not experience environmental damage and agricultural land can be reused according to its function
