Abstract
Agricultural land has many benefits fot the community such as providing food, a source of income, as one of the envorinmental convervation. These things should be maintained by limiting the conversion of agricultural land to no-agricultural which could have a negative impact, namely threatening the capacity of food availability if not controlled an even eliminating the livelihoods of farmers. The type of research useh is empirical legal research, which is a type of legal research that focuses on social facts and the rule of law used in the implementation of land conversion. The conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural land which is used as a place to live by the sommunity is still common lately. The increase in population in Bantul Regency also increases the nees needed bt the community, one of which is a place to live. The method use by the National Land Agency to control the transfer of functions is the preparation of PLP2B (Protection of Sustainable Food Agricultural Land) and the regulation of Regional Regulations which are still in the drafting stage.
