Abstract
The title of this legal writing is Sleman Police Efforts in Overcoming Narcotics Abuse by Children. With the rise of narcotics abuse involving children, prevention is needed as an effort to protect children. This study aims to determine how the efforts of the Sleman Police in tackling narcotics abuse by children in Sleman Regency. This research is an empirical legal research supported by primary data, secondary data. Primary data were obtained directly from the object, namely conducting interviews with the Sleman Police Chief and secondary data consisting of primary legal materials sourced from related regulations and secondary legal materials derived from legal and non-legal opinions obtained from books, journals, internet. Inductive thinking is a way of thinking from specific knowledge to general knowledge by using reasoning. Based on the results of the research and discussion that the author made, it can be concluded that the Pre-emptive Efforts carried out by the Sleman Police are socialization and counseling programs, while the preventive efforts are conducting operations to prevent perpetrators who want to smuggle narcotics into Sleman Regency, and repressive efforts, namely criminal action. to be involved in drug abuse cases.
