Abstract

Adultery cases are the most common cases of the Kawei tribal community, so that the provision of customary sanctions is one way to resolve the case. The research, entitled "Application of Customic Sanctions Against Administration of Addictional Communities in the Kawei Tribe Community, Raja Ampat Regency, West Papua Province", has a problem formulation How is the process of applying customary sanctions against adultery perpetrators that occur to the Kawei indigenous community, Raja Ampat Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of customary sanctions in the process of resolving adultery cases of the indigenous Kawei tribe, Raja Ampat Regency, West Papua Province . The research method used in this research is empirical legal research, namely research that focuses on the behavior of the legal community. This legal research uses primary data as the main data, so that conclusions can be drawn using the inductive reasoning method, namely a way of thinking based on specific events to ensure general theories, laws , and concepts. Based on the data analysis carried out, it was concluded that the process of resolving adultery that occurred in the indigenous Kawei tribe was resolved in a family way.
