Abstract

This study to determine the waste management applied to the Nngino Market, Seyegan District, Sleman Regency as an effort to prevent environmental pollution due to market waste, with the background of traditional markets having the potential to cause environmental problems due to waste generated from buying and selling activities in the market. The research method used is empirical legal research with data collection techniques using interviews and literature studies, then analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study indicate that the waste management system at Ngino Market is related to several of activities in facilitating the disposal, collection, and transportation of waste to the Final Processing Site carried out starting from Ngino market traders to the area around Ngino market. It is hoped that the role of market traders can help prevent environmental pollution due to waste.
