Abstract

Palm Oil Plantations give a lot of advantages for Indonesia. The advantages such as increasing in income to the state, create job fields, etc. Palm Oil farming also caused pollution. The pollution caused by waste that is discarded without prior treatment. The purpose of this research are to know how the government and PT. Rana Wastu Kencana implementing legal protection to the environment and what are contraints faced by the government in implementing the legal protection to the environtment. The result of this research are there are many things that Government and Palm Oil Plantation do to gives the legal protection. The Government does routine supervision and checking and monitoring. They Check about the environmental documents. Palm Oil Plantation with the government collaborate to make some parks. As for the contraints faced by the government in implementing the legal protection to the environtment are such the vast from plantation area, lack of civil servant or labor and the poor infrastructure. The conclution of this research is the contraints that faced by the government make the legal protection that should given from the government to the environment ineffective. The government needs to recruit more civil servant or labor so they can do routine supervision effectively
