Abstract

Magic mushroom is a type of psychedelic mushroom. In Indonesia, people know this mushroom as cow dung mushroom where cow dung mushroom belongs to the psilocybe genus. One of the cases that occurred in Yogyakarta was case number 88/Pid.Sus/2018/PN.Yyk. The objectives of this study are: 1) to determine the cause of cow dung fungus into narcotics group I; 2) to find out efforts to overcome the abuse of cow dung mushrooms in the city of Yogyakarta. This type of research in this study uses empirical law. Respondents in this study were Mr. Syafari as Assistant Narcotics Investigator Unit 1 Polresta Yogyakarta City and X (a pseudonym) as a former convict of narcotics magic mushrooms. Data processing is done by processing and analyzing the data that has been collected textually, then constructed qualitatively, to draw a conclusion. The results of this study are: 1) Magic mushroom is one type of Narcotics Group I because it contains the active substance psilocybin which is harmful to the body; 2) Implementation of the handling of the Yogyakarta City Police through preventive and repressive measures
