Abstract
This study focuses on the legal consequences of illegal Binary Option based investment in society and the role of the Financial Services Authority due to the famous Binary Option based investment in society and what makes society interested in it. The purpose of this research is to analyze is the Financial Services Authority has a role in illegal Binary Option based investments. The method that is used in this research is the empirical legal research method. However, the results show that the Financial Services Authority has no role in Binary Option-based investment, and the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (BAPPEBTI) has no role in it. But, society is still interested in illegal investment especially the Binary Option, and Financial Services Authority has to educate and inform society about the danger of illegal investment in Binary Option according to Indonesian Republic Law Number 21 Year 2011 about Financial Services Authority.
